Andrea Barthwell is CEO of EMGlobal LLC, a parent company of Two Dreams Outer Banks. Dr. Barthwell is a former president of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). She served as Deputy Director for Demand Reduction in the Office of National Drug Control Policy from 2002 to 2004. Dr. Barthwell is a recipient of the prestigious Betty Ford Award for contributions to the field of addiction medicine and has been named by her peers as one of the "Best Doctors in America" in addiction medicine.

Dr. Sanchez serves as the medical director at Two Dreams. Before attending medical school Dr. Sanchez's love for music inspired him to perform as a professional jazz trumpeter. He went on to earn his medical degree from Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sanchez is board certified in Family Practice. He runs the Outer Banks Urgent Care Center and provides medical care and addiction medicine services to Two Dreams. He is a certified Medical Review Officer and was recently recognized by the Community Practitioner Program for his generous volunteer activities.

Sid has over 14 years of experience in psychological and managerial fields; he directs all clinical programming and oversees daily operations at Two Dreams. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master of Education degree in counselor education along with numerous therapy-related qualifications including Certified Trauma Specialist and Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist. Sid has a long history of volunteering his time to assist in community programs for individuals who face addictive disorders, mental illness, and other challenges. Outside of work, Sid loves working with stained glass, oil painting, and taking care of his dog, Buster.

Dana went to Liberty University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, and went on to earn her Master's Degree in Counseling, becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Dana has over 14 years of clinical experience (having served as a Lead Counselor and a Program Coordinator prior to her employment with Two Dreams). During her years as a professional counselor, she has honed her skills in individual as well as group counseling working the cognitive and dialectical behavior sides of therapy. Dana’s compassion for others makes her ideal for working with patients who have a history of trauma and PTSD, as she has the ability to connect with her patients on a personal level.

Christie graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Education, received a Master's degree in Education from Old Dominion University, and later achieved a Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from the Grand Canyon University. Christie has worked in the addiction and mental health field for over thirteen years. She was drawn to Two Dreams because of the holistic approach to treatment and recovery in which she believes is the best way to truly recover and find peace. She loves spending time with her family and friends and volunteers in her free time by rescuing abandoned dogs.

Morgan graduated from Western Carolina University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Social Work with a focus in Addictions. Upon graduation, Morgan joined the US Army. After serving his country, Morgan began his career at Two Dreams where he works with agencies and service providers to facilitate case coordination and information-sharing. He also maintains case records and provides assistance with selection of services and client-watching for Recovery Enhancement Planning after discharge. Morgan is also a surfing enthusiast and is Two Dreams Outer Banks’ very own surfing instructor. Morgan loves spending much of his free time on the water. He loves fishing, wakeboarding, kayaking, and waterskiing.

Amit attended Appalachian State University where he graduated with a BS in Psychology. Following his dream to help others change their lives, Amit began working as a case manager for Two Dreams. He works diligently to make sure patients successfully complete the program and live happy, sober lives. Amit is an avid fan of the arts who likes to play video games, write science fiction, and play disc golf when the weather permits.

Aubrey attended East Carolina University where she graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Family Relations. Aubrey works as a case manager at Two Dreams, serving as an advocate for clients. Eager to help others, Aubrey feels that watching people gain the skills they need to become happy and healthy is what makes her career so fulfilling. She is determined to achieve a Masters in psychology and become an addiction counselor. When not at work, Aubrey enjoys being outdoors, gardening and relaxing at the beach. She is a huge animal lover and loves spending time with her three pets.

Courtney is a graduate from the University of Michigan where she achieved a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Courtney started out as an intern at Two Dreams and after working a few months, Dr. Barthwell saw her value and offered her a position as a Medical Case Manager. Courtney loves interacting with clients as well as the medical side of treatment. She brings a positive new dynamic to the team where she can apply her understanding and knowledge of medicine to the treatment and care of the clients. Courtney loves to stay active so in her free time—she swims, plays tennis, and practices yoga and Pilates.
