The comprehensive wellness program at Two Dreams Outer Banks supports clients in balancing their nutrition and physical activity to reduce the risk of serious health problems and enhance the quality of life. As with all of our treatment services, we assist our clients in identifying ambitious yet attainable outcomes, and share with them tools and techniques to enable them to realize their goals. Under physician supervision, our nutritionist, trainers, therapists, and chefs help clients implement and maintain healthy eating and exercise routines.

Our physician and clinical staff assess the prior habits of the client and, in consultation with the client, formulate a healthy living plan to reflect the client’s personal priorities. We provide instruction and guidance in adopting a nutrition plan balanced in quantity and content, providing moderate portions of our wholesome and savory menu items. Two Dreams chefs prepare meals and snacks using fresh, locally grown, post-organic ingredients at all times possible.

Increased physical activity is an essential element of every client’s healthy living program. Our trainers and recreation coordinators work with clients to plan enjoyable daily schedules, incorporating one-on-one personal training, group exercise, sports instruction, and many of the outdoor activities available on the Outer Banks. Daily bike rides and beach walks are encouraged.

Developing a healthy and pleasant daily routine is a core element of the Two Dreams healthy living program. As part of this process, Two Dreams therapists help clients address counterproductive mindsets or behaviors that could prevent clients from attaining and sustaining their goals. Counseling, support groups, and behavioral therapy are all instruments our trained mental health professionals use to help clients overcome issues that may be hindering them from realizing their full potential.

The Two Dreams healthy living program is designed to help clients develop the commitments, skills, resources, and routines necessary to remain successful and healthy after completing our program.
